Apple is all set to launch the iPhone 12 series this October. There is an online event on 13th October, where all four devices will be announced. In these four devices, there is one smallest iPhone called iPhone 12 Mini. As per the rumours, iPhone 12 will not have some of the features.
You Might Give Up These Features in iPhone 12 Mini
iPhone 12 mini is the smallest iPhone with a 5.4-inch display. The body size will be smaller than any other iPhone. If you are a love smaller devices, then there are few notable features which you will give up in the upcoming iPhone 12 mini.
According to the rumours, iPhone 12 Pro models will have LiDAR Scanner. It was available on the iPad Pro earlier this year. LiDAR scanner uses reflected light to measure the distance from the sensor to objects which are five meters away. However, this feature will not be available in the iPhone 12 Mini as it is a smaller and low-cost model.
Similar to iPhone 11, iPhone 12 mini will have two camera lenses. There will be a wide-angle lens and an ultrawide-angle lens on its rear side. However, it is expected that the Telephoto Lens is missing on the iPhone 12 mini.
As per the rumours, iPhone 12 Pro Max will get sensor-shift image stabilization technology. It allows the optical image stabilization to applied to camera sensor instead of individual lenses. However, this feature is not expected to come to the iPhone 12 mini.
But, the iPhone 12 Mini may get benefit from Apple’s new “high-end” lens arrays and improved Smart HDR.
With the smallest device in the iPhone series, it will have the smallest battery. According to the certifications, the battery capacity of the iPhone 12 Mini is 2,227mAh. As compared to the smallest iPhone 11 Pro 5.8-inch has 3,046mAh battery.
However, the A14 Bionic processor and OLED display will improve energy efficiency and the limits of battery size in iPhone 12 mini. iPhone 12 Pro Max will have a larger battery of 3,687mAh.
iPhone 12 Mini will have slower Sub-6GHz 5G, which is a more common form of 5G. And iPhone 12 Pro Max will be the only model to have faster mmWave 5G. Probably, only the largest iPhone in the lineup will have the internal space to support the antenna design when needed to complete mmWave.
iPhone 12 mini might come with flexible OLED display with Y-OCTA touch. However, the display might have some drawbacks. There are rumours that the iPhone 12 Mini will not have 120Hz display.
Even though, these features are missing in the iPhone 12 mini, it is expected to get the latest processor which is A14 Bionic. And there will be an OLED display and a brand new squared-off design.
However, this news is just a rumour, it might be true, and it might not be so, we are not confirming it. We need to wait for the official announcement.
